Introduction

This article introduces the process of entering in New York at the end of July.

1. Self-isolation for unvaccinated people?

You can enter New York without vaccination and you don't need self-quarantine.
This can be found in CNN's July 30 update (Figure 1).
The CDC recommends self-quarantine, but it's not mandatory (Figure 2).

2. COVID-19 negative result

You need a COVID-19 negative result to board the plane.
There is no confirmation in the U.S., but the airline will do it at the check-in.
This is a video of the waiting line for the COVID-19 test at the end of July (Figure 3).
It will take about 100 dollars to issue a COVID-19 negative result for boarding the plane.

3. How to get airport

There are no airport limousines or KTX direct to the airport due to COVID-19.
You can use taxi, callben, airport rail, self-driving, etc.

4. Immigration

If you leave for the United States, you need visa when you check in your flight ticket (Figure 4).
For J-1 visas, DS-2019 is required.

5. Departure hall of Incheon International Airport

This is the view of Incheon Airport departure hall (Figure 5).
I think the airport will be full if the COVID-19 issue is resolved.
I had a meal at Lotteria (Figure 6).

6. Aircraft boarding

This is Asiana Airlines' indoor view (Figure 7).
There were more people than I thought.

7. American landscape

I'm on my way to Manhattan from JFK airport in the U.S. (Figure 8).
I've moved on using Uber.
It is impossible to talk in Uber due to the COVID-19 restriction.

8. Uber costs

I traveled from JFK airport to Manhattan Upper East, and it cost us about $100 including tips (Figure 9-10).
If I use the subway, I can travel around 10 dollars, but it was inevitable because I had a lot of luggage.

Outro

As the U.S. is easing regulations due to COVID-19, there has been no significant difference from pre-COVID-19 regulations other than the regulations on wearing masks.
If you're planning to enter the United States, please refer to it.
